Who we are
DGT-IT is a trading division of Dehning General Trading CC (“DGT-IT”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect
- When you contact us through our website form, email or WhatsApp: your name, email address, phone number, company name and your message.
- When we provide services to you: the contact and technical details we need to support your systems, and billing details for invoicing.
- When you use our free email security check: the domain name you enter. The check only reads public email records for that domain.
- Vulnerability and dark web scans are only run with your written consent.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and send you quotes.
- To provide, support and invoice our services.
- To meet our legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Who we share it with
We only share personal information with service providers who help us run our business, such as secure form delivery, email hosting and accounting software. They may only use it to provide that service and must keep it secure. We will also share information when the law requires it.
How we protect and keep it
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. We keep it only for as long as we need it for the reasons above, or as long as the law requires.
Marketing
We only send marketing messages to existing clients or to people who have agreed to receive them. You can ask us to stop at any time and we will.

Our website may use cookies that it needs to work properly and to understand basic website use. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it and withdraw your consent. Send your request to info@dgt-it.com and we will reply in writing.
If you are not happy with how we handled your information, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
